History

The Dallas Field Office of the United States Secret Service began hosting an annual 5K run in 2003 with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society.  The event was held as a tribute to Lisa Pritchard, the wife of a former Special Agent in Charge. Lisa lost her battle with Cancer, Renal cell carcinoma, in April 2004. The tribute became an annual event, and to date the event has contributed over $100,000.00 for the American Cancer Society in memory of Lisa Pritchard.

This annual event would not be possible without the support of a host of corporate and individual sponsors who have and continue to donate time, money, prizes and services.

The event is held at Williams Square, in Irving, TX with the start and finish near the intersection of Las Colinas Blvd. and O’Connor Blvd.

Activities have included musical entertainment, a static US Army helicopter display, and many other exciting and interesting equipment displays as well as kid/ family friendly activities to include face painting, bounce house, balloon artist, and lots of incredible food. A silent auction is held with many donated, and one of a kind items.
